Announcing the 6th Annual The Stars of Summer: New Prizes, New Opportunities, and an Expanded Experience!

The Stars of Summer organizing team

We are thrilled to announce the 6th Annual The Stars of Summer International Piano, Vocal, and Dance Competition and Festival, happening in 2025! This year, we are introducing exciting new opportunities for young artists, along with new prizes and performance possibilities, all while continuing to build on the event's celebrated legacy.

New Prizes and Special Awards

In 2025, we are proud to introduce two new prizes:

· Tchaikovsky Award: A special prize dedicated to celebrating the music of the legendary Russian composer, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. This award will highlight the beauty and emotional depth of his works, giving young musicians a chance to showcase their interpretation of his music.

· Latin Music Award: This award will celebrate the vibrant and rich musical traditions of Latin America. Young musicians will be invited to perform works from Latin composers, adding diversity and richness to the competition.

In addition to these new prizes, we continue to feature our beloved special awards:

· Armenian Music Award

· Italian Music Award

· Ukrainian Music Award

· MusiCats Award (for pieces featuring cats in the title or theme)

Exciting Performance Opportunities with the Orchestra

This year, we are offering even more participants the incredible opportunity to perform with the Snowbelt Symphony Orchestra. Not only will soloists have the chance to shine on stage, but duet and trio performances will also be featured with the orchestra, providing even more young musicians the experience of playing alongside professional musicians.

One of the highlights of this year's competition will be the Latin Concerto No. 20 by Alexander Peskanov. This concerto will be featured in the Concerto Category, with winners performing with the Snowbelt Symphony Orchestra. This is a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of performing a concerto with a full orchestra, further elevating the competition experience.

Inaugural Dance Competition

For the very first time, dancers will be part of The Stars of Summer competition! This inaugural Dance Competition will allow young dancers to showcase their skills and talent on stage. It’s a fantastic new addition, expanding the event’s focus to include another art form while celebrating diversity in the performing arts.

Laureates' Concert at One World Day

The Laureates' Concert will once again take place during the One World Day Festival at the Cleveland Cultural Gardens on August 24, 2025. This event will feature performances from the winners in all categories, including piano, vocal, and dance. With over 55,000 attendees, it will be an unforgettable experience for both the performers and the audience.

This year, we are pleased to offer two stages at the Laureates' Concert, ensuring more participants can showcase their talent and be recognized for their achievements.

Expanded Prizes and Recognition

We are proud to announce that in 2025, there will be more prizes than ever before, giving us the chance to recognize the incredible talent and hard work of even more young musicians and dancers. The Grand Prix continues to be the most prestigious honor, with the top performer receiving substantial recognition and valuable opportunities.
