We are thrilled to announce the incredible results of the 4th Annual The Stars of Summer competition, a platform that showcases the extraordinary talents of young musicians.
The competition drew participants from various regions, highlighting their exceptional skills and dedication to the world of music.
We are excited to introduce our Absolute Grand Prix winner, the remarkable 8-year-old pianist Spencer Zhang from Cleveland, OH. With a phenomenal performance, Spencer earned a total of 102.5 points, securing the 1st place in the Piano Concerto category. His outstanding achievements also led to invitations from all four judges. Notably, Spencer has been selected by Joyce Mariani to perform at the renowned Opera in the Italian Garden concert on September 3, 2023. Additionally, Spencer's talents will shine at both the Gala concert on August 19 and the Laureates concert during the One World Day Festival on August 27. He will captivate the audience with his rendition of the 3rd movement of the Italian Concerto by A. Peskanov, accompanied by the Snowbelt Symphony orchestra.
We also proudly acknowledge Annabelle Cheng, a talented 14-year-old from Chicago, IL, who claimed the Grand Prix runner-up title with a remarkable total of 101 points. Annabelle triumphed in the Piano: Italian Composer category and secured invitations from three judges. Her exceptional achievements have earned her a place at the upcoming Gala concert on August 19.
Joining the ranks of the Grand Prix runner-up is the remarkable 9-year-old pianist, Khloe Wang. With an impressive score of 100.25 points, Khloe secured victory in the Piano: American Composers category. Her outstanding performance also garnered invitations from three judges, marking her as a true rising star. Khloe will also be performing at the upcoming Gala concert on August 19.
